Exhibition History
The easiest way is to see how long the exhibition has been held, to study releases and reports on past events. It is better to look for information on Chinese exhibitions in Baidu, using hieroglyphs. English-language versions are designed for foreigners, and accordingly may contain a certain share of cunning. Fortunately, modern browsers allow automatic translation of information. One way or another, if an exhibition takes place for more than 5 years, the number of visitors and exhibition space is constantly growing - this is a good sign.
Participation of foreign exhibiting companies
The participation of foreign visitors is a good marker for determining the level of Chinese exhibitions. It is necessary to carefully study the lists of exhibitors. Are there multinational corporations among them? - A sure sign of reliability. If the participants are mainly Chinese companies and little-known foreign ones, then the level of the exhibition is not very high. Be careful - big names and logos on the site do not mean that the company is really participating in the event. If in doubt, request information from the company directly.
English website
English is an international language. If you received an invitation to an exhibition that does not have an English version of the site, do not rush to pack your bags. Often, Chinese organizers call foreign companies for local events, as their KPI is worth attracting guests from the countries of "One Belt - One Raod", so they can go for various tricks - be careful. The absence of a site in English, in the vast majority of cases, means that the level of the exhibition is not international.
Business Association Recommendations
If you still have doubts, contact the specialists - the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC, the Embassy of China in the Russian Federation or business associations that can advise you on the selection of exhibitions based on personal experience and classified information. In addition, the association can organize a business mission to the exhibition or meetings on request for its members.
We hope that our recommendations will help you improve your participation in Chinese exhibitions. Choosing an exhibition in China is sometimes not as simple as it seems, but we are ready to share our experience with business community.
