Technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union - a brief overview

Most goods released into circulation in the Russian Federation and other member states of the Eurasian Economic Union: Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia fall under the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (Customs Union). Technical regulations establish mandatory product safety requirements for product development (design), manufacturing, installation, commissioning, operation, storage, transportation, sale and disposal. As stated in the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union, only accredited certification bodies may assess the conformity of products and issue certificates of conformity. At the same time, certification bodies receive their accreditation from the state services of the EAEU member states.
