On May 25, in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, with the support of the RAUIE regional branch, the Strategic Session of Business Russia “Import substitution and parallel imports in the timber complex. Problems and ways of development».
The participants of the strategic session were representatives of federal and regional authorities, large timber industry enterprises and organizations that ensure the continuous process of the forest industry, as well as representatives of science, partners, analysts, experts and members of the RAUIE.
As part of the first block, the participants were provided with up-to-date information on the situation in the timber industry. After the introduction of sanctions against Russia, timber harvesters and timber processors of the region faced logistical problems, failures in the equipmnet and spare parts supply from foreign countries.
The importance of support and collaboration with the RAUIE was noted by the Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Krasnoyarsk Krai Alexander Korobkin, after a round table in April, where tasks were defined, the RAUIE regional branch was actively involved in solving issues, filing applications and processing requests for forestry companies were set up. Today the region has over 3 thousand timber enterprises registered, about 1800 commercial enterprises are forest users, 1500 of which are small businesses. More than 50,000 people work at the timber industry enterprises.
Local producers also joined the discussion, they presented their capabilities for the production of foreign spare parts and components analogues, manufacturing parts in other available ways.
