Conference at Public Chamber of Russian Federation on PRC’s hardware purchases

After the withdrawal from the Russian market of most Western brands, China has become the key import partner of Russia. Chinese manufactures produce a huge amount of machinery that is not inferior to European counterparts. The issues related to the organization of procurements have emerged for many businessmen.

The conference called "Purchase of equipment in China. How to ensure the efficiency and process safety?" was held at the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on 31th of January.

The event was organized by the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RAUIE), the exclusive office of the Presidential Commissioner for Entrepreneurs’ Rights and The Russian-Chinese Committee of Friendship, Peace and Development.

The speakers shared the nuances that need to be taken into account in the implementation of this process, offered solutions to problems, told how to protect themselves from unscrupulous suppliers, circumvent the problems associated with the import of equipment into Russia, discussed the specifics of customs regulation and what changes trade has undergone over the past year, and also answered questions.

Irina Krukovskaya, Deputy Head of the Department of Trade and Economic Cooperation ("Russia-China: New Frontiers of Cooperation – Trade and Finance") and Maya Man, Head of the Representative Office of RAUIE in Shanghai and the Shanghai Commercial and Industrial Company MANYA Ltd ("How to buy more and pay less: equipment from China") spoke on behalf of RAUIE. Other members of RAUIE who took part in the event as speakers are Galina Dontsova Nextons’ Advisor to tax and customs practice ("Customs regulation in the import of equipment") and CEO of "Insurance Brokers "ACT" Innokenty Lukyanov with Deputy CEO for Property and Liability Insurance Denis Titov ("Risk audit and insurance protection in the purchase and import of imported equipment").
