From October 28 to October 30, 2022, a Chinese government delegation headed by the Deputy Mayor of Qingdao, Shandong Province, Mr. Liu Jiangjun, visited Russia. As part of this visit, on October 29, Moscow hosted a presentation of the China-SCO Pilot Zone for Regional Trade and Economic Cooperation with the support of the Chinese Embassy in the Russian Federation.
The event was opened with a welcoming speech by the Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of the China-SCO Pilot Zone, Mr. Zhang Dong.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the RAUIE Vitaly Mankevich, as well as the head of the Department of Trade and Economic Cooperation Igor Sverdlov, as an honorary speakers.
Vitaly Mankevich: “The development of cooperation within the framework of the SCO is one of the most important priorities in the foreign policy of the two states. RAUIE actively participates in the current agenda and activities of the SCO. At the moment, the Union is one of the initiators of the creation of the SCO Digital Economy Research Institute, as well as its branch in Russia, which will further allow to keep track of cross-border trade, financial transactions, production and comprehensive cooperation within the SCO.
RAUIE highly appreciates the new platform for international cooperation within the framework of the One Belt - One Road Initiative. We believe that the SCO (Qingdao) zone will expand cooperation in the field of international logistics, modern trade, bilateral investment, business tourism and cultural ties, etc.
The event was also attended by RAUIE members - VSK Vice President Denis Moor and ChangeLab CEO Nikita Timokhin.
