From August 4 to 13, for the first time in China, ice shows by Evgeni Plushenko and the Academy of Angels of Plushenko "Swan Lake" and "The Nutcracker" will tour.
Events with the participation of Russian figure skating stars Alexandra Trusova and Sofia Muravyova will be held at the site of the State Sports Palace in Beijing.
The tour of the large-scale ice show became possible for the first time thanks to the cooperation of the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RAUIE) and Beijing FUNJOY Sports Development Co., LTD 北京悦飞体育发展有限公司 and LLC DAIKYO TECHNOLOGY (MACAU) LIMITED.
“Our Union is engaged in the development of Russian-Chinese relations, and they are not only in trade and economic cooperation, but also in supporting cultural and social projects. Sports, art, creativity, education are the areas we are actively working on now,” says Vitaly Mankevich, Chairman of the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RAUIE).
“Together with partners from Beijing Funjoy Sports in Macau, we are currently creating a Russian-Chinese production center. It will promote Russian sports and theatrical events, artists and cinema in China. Beijing FUNJOY Sports Development Co., LTD is a large management company dealing with all sports facilities in China, Hong Kong and Macau,” explains Anastasia Sadrieva, Chairman of the Creative Industries Committee of the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RAUIE).
The Embassy of the Russian Federation in China highly appreciated the news. “During the pandemic, China really missed the ice shows from Russia, which traditionally attract crowds of fans of figure skating, which is so popular in China. And very soon, outstanding Russian figure skaters from the Academy of the legendary Evgeni Plushenko will perform in Beijing with the Swan Lake and The Nutcracker programs. We look forward to the arrival of our athletes and we have no doubt that they, as always, will make a splash among the Chinese spectators!” - said the press secretary of the embassy Georgy Yegorov.
In the 2023-2024 season, the Russian-Chinese team is also scheduled to tour Tatyana Navka's ice show.
