On October 6, Maxim Kuznetsov, Vice President of the RAUIE, took part in an online seminar:
"Economic recovery after coronavirus: E-commerce opportunities for Russian companies", organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC)
“They used to say that Greece has everything, now everything is in Hong Kong. It is truly a city of the future with a cutting edge economy. And now, according to economic indicators, we see the recovery of both Hong Kong and China, which opens up new opportunities for Russian business. In our experience, the key problems for importers are verification of Chinese partners, lack of funding and legal problems. The RAUIE, as a Russian business association, carefully studies these problems and offers its members relevant solutions that help to make imports easier and more profitable. Our representative offices egularly check counterparties from China both in databases and on a visit to the factory, carry out control and inspection of shipments, we help to attract financing for imports from China both in Russian banks and through deferred payment through Sinosure insurance coverage. We also regularly solve legal problems of our clients and help to avoid problems by concluding optimal contracts that protect the interests of our importers. In case of conflicts, we help resolve them in courts and collect receivables, ”said
Maxim Kuznetsov.

Leonid Orlov, head of the Moscow office of HKTDC, spoke in detail about Hong Kong exhibitions. “Hong Kong Trade Shows are an excellent platform for both import and export. Nowadays, many exhibition events take place online, but this does not affect their effectiveness. The best example is Summer Sourcing Week, which brings together over 1,300 exhibitors from 14 countries with over 13,000 attendees and many opportunities for effective meetings and negotiations. Hong Kong is also open to Russian exports. The best platform HKTVMall, which exists both online and offline. To place products there, Russian companies should register a Hong Kong company.
At the end of the event, the participants asked their questions and discussed the possibilities of cooperation with the speakers.
