On July 21, the RAUIE and Kept jointly held a conference "Russian-Chinese cooperation today: topical issues."
The event was attended by Mr. Gao Qi, Head of the Russian Representative Office of the China Committee for the Promotion of International Trade, Mr. Gao Qi, Representative of the Intergovernmental Russian-Chinese Commission on Investment Cooperation and Head of the Department of Multilateral Development Banks of the Department of Analytical Support for Foreign Economic Activities of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia Sofya Zhiganova, Chairman of the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Vitaly Mankevich, as well as experts of Kept, prepared detailed practical instructions on various aspects of investing and doing business in the Russian Federation for Chinese guests.
The speakers reviewed the Russian market, economy and business environment, reviewed recent M&A transactions, highlighted their features, discussed opportunities for foreign investors and government support measures, talked about options for organizing and doing business in the Russian Federation, legal and tax aspects, and also work under sanctions, spoke about topical issues of customs regulation and transfer pricing, demonstrated interesting cases.
The event was attended by representatives of Chinese companies planning to start or expand their activities in Russia (some of them specially flew in from China).
The conference was held in a hybrid format, so many colleagues from China listened to it thanks to the online broadcast.
