Measures to support the timber industry - proposals from the RAUIE regional branch in Krasnoyarsk

Krasnoyarsk hosted an off-site meeting of the committee on forestry and sustainable development of the All-Russian public organization "Business Russia". The geography of the participants was extensive Krasnoyarsk, Trans-Baikal, Perm, Altai Territories, the Republic of Mari El, Sverdlovsk and Kurgan regions, etc.

The event was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and departments of the Krasnoyarsk and Altai Territories, the Sverdlovsk Region, deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Yenisei Siberia Corporation, the scientific and business community, industry media.



At the event, RAUIE was represented by the head of the regional branch Alena Shvetsova. Her report was devoted to a new vector of the forest industry development in international markets, she noted that today there are tools for expanding international business contacts, most of which are in China, but the EU market should not be discounted either.



To do this, it is necessary to develop a strategy in new markets, study the situation and competitors, calculate the financial model, understand pricing and the range of timber products that are in demand. In terms of marketing, draw up a plan for participation in industry exhibitions, business forums abroad, prepare presentation materials for foreign partners.
