On April 22, two major online events were held dedicated to trade with China. In both events, the vice president of the RAUIE - Maxim Kuznetsov made a report.
The webinar organized by "Business Russia" was dedicated to the prospects of developing business cooperation with China in the context of a global pandemic. The event was attended by Deputy Trade Representation of Russia in China Vyacheslav Serdyukov. He noted that despite the difficult epidemiological situation in Russia, trade with China still shows good results: “This year, despite a huge decline in China's GDP by 6.8% in the first quarter, our trade turnover with China in January-March 2020 showed 3.4% growth compared to the same period last year, ”noted Serdyukov.
Maxim Kuznetsov in his speech emphasized the main growth points in Russian-Chinese relations: “We see that the world is going online, so joint innovation projects and cross-border e-commerce can become development drivers between our countries. In addition to digital, agricultural and food exports won't suffer from the crisis, beef exports have already been allowed since the beginning of the year, and we see an increase in supplies, ”said Maxim Kuznetsov.
The international online conference “Export 2020 and Coronavirus” was also devoted to trade issues with China. Representatives of more than 25 countries of the world took part in this event. The event was organized by the “Center for Business Cooperation”, and the general partner of the conference was the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RAUIE).
At the conference, participants talked about the trade features in isolation and also discussed the changes in customs clearance documentation. Maxim Kuznetsov, Vice-President of the RAUIE, mentioned the ways of adapting to “economic restructuring”: “Now, due to the pandemic, companies have a unique chance to promote their companies at online exhibitions and use digital B2B platforms without leaving their homes. In particular, a member of our Union, Epindo company is actively promoting Russian food products using both physical stores and the Internet platforms. Sales grow by 40-50% every year, and this is the best evidence of the growing popularity of Russian products in China, ”said Maxim Kuznetsov. During the conference, participants asked questions to speakers who shared the secrets of successful trading during a pandemic.
