Orenburg region welcomes chinese business: strategic partnership in action

A three-day business program for the delegation of the People's Republic of China has begun in Orenburg. The delegation consists of 30 people: heads of major companies and representatives of organizations responsible for building business relations between our countries.

Key participants include:

• Liu Jun, Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the PRC in the Russian Federation;
• Qin Haifeng, Chief Representative of the Government of Shandong Province in Eastern Europe and Central Asia;
• Gao Qi, Head of the Representative Office of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the China Chamber of International Commerce.

The visit program is packed:

• A business cooperation conference "Export to China: A Choice within the SCO";
• Visits to local enterprises;
• Meetings with business communities and entrepreneurs;
• A series of negotiations with potential partners.

Why is the Orenburg region a key hub for cooperation?

The region's geographical location offers unique advantages: the shortest route from Europe to China, with active railway and highway routes.

The volume of mutual trade in 2025 exceeded $210 million, and steady growth continues.

BRICS Investment Center – more than twenty investment proposals have already been prepared for potential investors.

The "Orenburg" Special Economic Zone – a key platform for joint projects. The "Orenburg" SEZ is a member of the RAUIE, which opens up additional opportunities for systematic work with Chinese partners.

What does the RAUIE do?

This working visit is a logical continuation of the agreements reached in Moscow last December at the RAUIE's final event, "Year-End Review of Russian-Asian Business Cooperation."

The RAUIE's mission is not simply to organize meetings, but to:

• attract investors to the region;
• identify effective areas of cooperation with local enterprises;
• establish joint ventures (JVs);
• help create new jobs.

The RAUIE is consistently working to ensure that interregional cooperation receives practical implementation. As Governor Evgeny Solntsev noted, it is the RAUIE that facilitates systematic cooperation between Russian regions and Chinese provinces.
