On June 3, 2022, Moscow hosted the International Forum of Public Diplomacy, organized by the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly". The event was attended by representatives of public organizations, business, science, culture, sports, media, government, political and public figures. The forum was dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.
The agenda of the Forum included issues of popularization and further development of public diplomacy through innovative approaches and modern mechanisms of cultural, humanitarian, scientific, educational and business cooperation.
The event was opened by the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, Chairman of the RAUIE Supervisory Board Andrey Belyaninov: “Those who believe that Eurasia is Europe and Asia are mistaken, in our wording it is both Africa and Latin America. Another confirmation of this is the presence of ambassadors from different countries at the event. Every year, the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly is developing more and more confidently as an international platform that affirms the ideology of peace, benevolent good neighborliness between countries and peoples.”
The President of the RAUIE Vitaly Mankevich took part in the event, he emphasized the importance of public diplomacy and noted how important it is to develop cooperation with other countries not only through trade and economic relations, but also cultural and humanitarian ones: “More than 500 enterprises from the Russian Federation are members of the RAUIE and Asian countries and more than 1000 individuals. And we, like no one else, know that in order to start a business with Asian partners, you first need to become good friends. Establishing strong ties (guanxi) is one of the founding traditions of Chinese society. Often these connections are carried by people throughout their lives, while they do not imply constant communication and maintaining relationships, the basis is the provision of mutual assistance when it is needed. I would like to note that moral principles and obligations play a huge role in China's economic relations. The presence of "guanxi" does not allow you to neglect the legislation of the PRC - any project must be legal, competently drawn up and executed in accordance with all norms and requirements.
