RAUIE and REC presented new instruments for export

30 September 2021

On September 28, the RAUIE together with REC organized an online webinar "Export of Russian products to China", where they presented export support programs and real working tools for the entry into the Chinese market.

The moderator was Alexander Belyashov, Head of the REC agency and partner network development department. In his speech, he spoke about the current government support measures for exporters and paid special attention to the network of REC showrooms in China, Vietnam, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt.

“For the period from January to July of this year, China ranks first in terms of Russian non-primary non-energy exports with a volume of 10.33 billion and a dynamics of + 23.2% over the same period last year. The Chinese market is one of the most popular among Russian exporters, which is facilitated, on the one hand, by success stories, and, on the other, by some misconceptions about demand. In any case, China is a specific market, the adaptation of packaging, brand names, product composition often has to be checked by trial and error. To test your hypothesis about the demand for products, you can use specialized showrooms, hold demonstration and tasting events, collect feedback from consumers. "

Vice-President of the RAUIE Maxim Kuznetsov focused on the RAUIE business support programs, including the network of the RAUIE export pavilions in China, in which any Russian manufacturer can start exporting with payment for the result.

“In 2021, we have already opened two pavilions in Guangzhou and Xiamen, and by mid-2022 we will open three more pavilions in Chengdu, Ningbo and Changsha. We came to the network of export pavilions based on our extensive experience of working with exporters, whose main problem was the high barrier to entry into foreign markets: anyway a lot of money must be spent, but the result is not guaranteed. We help to try the market with practically zero investments, this is the main idea and meaning of our pavilions"

Anna Fomicheva, vice-president of the RAUIE, shared the practical experience of Russian exporters and noted that in order to start exporting to foreign markets, a significant amount of pre-export preparation should be carried out, including market research, registration of permits and development of an export business model.

“The network of our pavilions already sells a very wide range of products: confectionery, pasta, healthy lifestyle products, including muesli and cereals, soft drinks. We were pleasantly surprised by the sales of vodka. We did not expect that Russian vodka would be popular in China. I recommend everyone to pay attention to the target export market and choose it carefully. China today is a large growing market and I recommend everyone to use the RAUIE pavilions to start exporting to China. ”
