RAUIE and Shuangliu District (Chengdu): new horizons for cooperation

On July 15, a meeting between the RAUIE leadership and a government delegation from Shuangliu District (Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China) was held in Moscow. The Russian side was led by RAUIE Chairman Vitaly Mankevich.

The Chinese delegation was headed by Mr. Zhu Guangchun – Deputy Chairman of the People's Government of Shuangliu District.

The meeting was also attended by Igor Alekseev, Head of the Ramenki District Administration (Moscow), and Alexey Bogachevsky, Advisor to the RAUIE Chairman on Trade and Economic Projects with China.

Key areas of cooperation:

1. Trade and industrial partnership
   RAUIE invited the delegation and enterprises of Shuangliu to take part in the International Technology Congress (September 8–10) – a key platform for direct negotiations with Russian state customers.

2. Export of used cars from China to Russia
   Shuangliu District is home to a large certified base for the export of used vehicles. The parties agreed to explore the possibility of establishing specialised centres in Russia for procurement, distribution, and servicing of used cars from Chengdu.

3. Textile industry, clothing and footwear production
   Shuangliu is recognised as China's "women's shoe capital" with global recognition in design. The route of the Russian business mission to China (November) will be expanded to include visits to the district's production facilities.

4. Municipal cooperation: Ramenki – Shuangliu
   The districts are similar as educational and scientific‑technological centres. Head of Ramenki Administration Igor Alekseev proposed establishing twin‑city relations. The parties will develop inter‑university cooperation, student exchange programmes, and cultural and technical initiatives.

5. Investment project "Russia in Miniature"
   The Chinese side expressed strong interest in the theme park project featuring architectural replicas (the project is already being implemented on Hainan). The Chinese delegation is ready to receive a detailed presentation to make it a key joint project.

• Sending the Chinese side information on participation in the Technology Congress
• Transferring the business plan and presentation of the "Russia in Miniature" project
• Inviting the Shuangliu delegation to the textile business mission to China in November
• Exploring the possibility of opening a RAUIE representative office in Chengdu

RAUIE is expanding the geography of its partnerships with Chinese regions – for concrete projects and real contracts.
