President of the RAUIE Vitaly Mankevich became a speaker at a business session organized by the Moscow Government as part of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, dedicated to international interregional cooperation.
The departure of some international companies from Russia has opened up new promising niches for domestic companies and friendly countries, which will allow diversifying the market. Over the past 10 years, there have been dramatic changes in the business environment of Russian regions, including an increase in the number of special economic zones, technology parks, the creation of highly specialized clusters with the possibility of attracting foreign investment and special conditions for residents.
“If we talk about Moscow's experience, we managed to maintain partnership in the ATER countries, the CIS, among the key partners are China, India, and the countries of the Middle East. The volume of direct accumulated investments is $250 billion,” said Sergey Evgenyevich Cheremin. He especially noted the dynamic development of trade and economic relations with India, as well as the dynamics of the development of the country as a whole.
“The current situation forces Russian business to focus on the East, search for new suppliers and markets for products, investment partners in Asian countries. In the short term, businesses are faced with the challenge of parallel imports, for example, spare parts for already installed equipment. In the long term, it is necessary to develop cooperation with reliable business partners from China and other Asian countries in the field of creating joint ventures in Russia and Asia, promoting and implementing joint large investment projects. Over the past 20 years, Russian-Chinese trade has grown more than 13 times from $8 billion to $107.76 billion, and this year it will exceed $120 billion, in which case the volume will grow 15 times, that is, the average growth is almost 14% , this gives rise to a number of challenges: economic (what else to buy or sell) and financial (how to pay, how to do it cheaper and safer),” Vitaly Vikentievich noted.
All participants from foreign countries pointed out the importance of cooperation with Russia.
