RAUIE Chairman Vitaly Mankevich, in a comment to Sputnik, assessed China's development results for the first half of 2026 based on data from the National Bureau of Statistics of China and the General Administration of Customs of the PRC.
China's GDP: growth of 4.7%

According to the RAUIE Chairman, the Chinese economy is not just maintaining stability, but is transitioning to a more qualitative growth model.
"Such growth dynamics of Russia's strategic partner is an important and positive signal for us, opening up new opportunities," he noted.
China's foreign trade:
Both exports and imports showed growth above 20%, fully offsetting last year's decline.
"This means that the markets of Russia and China are increasingly opening up to each other," Mankevich emphasised.
China's consumer market (data for exporters):
"China's purchasing power and consumption are growing. This is a trend that Russian exporters should take advantage of," he said.
China's industry (data for industrial cooperation):
"This means that more offers are appearing on the market, available to Russian enterprises for creating new production facilities," noted the RAUIE Chairman.
The combination of these indicators creates a solid foundation for a new stage of Russia‑China cooperation – with an emphasis on high‑value‑added products, industrial cooperation, and joint projects.
