On October 21, a practical seminar on the implementation of international youth cooperation was held in Senezh. The event was organized by
the Russian Union of Youth, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation.
In the section on the interaction of federal and regional nonprofit organizatios, President of the RAUIE
Vitaly Mankevich spoke. In his report, he spoke about the features of the Union’s work with the regions, and how the RAUIE helps to develop international cooperation: "Now we are witnessing a rapid trend: the interest of the regions in cooperation with Asian countries is growing. In the first 9 months of 2019, the number of requests from regional businessmen for business cooperation with Asian countries increased by 62 percent compared to the same indicator in 2018": I think this figure is not final, and will continue to grow. Currently, the governments of 8 regions are members of the RAUIE, interaction with the leadership of another 25 regions has been established, starting in 2012, we have been opening a network of regional branches. Currently, the RAUIE representative offices operate in
St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, in the Bryansk, Vladimir, Orenburg, Novosibirsk and Sverdlovsk Regions, as well as in the republics of Tatarstan and Ingushetia. ” Vitaliy Mankevich also noted that by the 3rd quarter of 2020, the RAUIE set a goal to open 50 regional branches, and given the demand for the association from the regions, this figure is quite achievable. With the development of the regional network, new opportunities will open up for entrepreneurs from the regions.
Among the speakers were also representatives of
the Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Support Fund, the Russian Peace Fund, the Presidential Grants Fund, the Russkiy Mir Foundation, and Rosmolodezh. It was about scaling up and supporting youth projects to bring them to the international level. In a global sense, this is a step towards expanding Russia's “soft power” abroad, and to promoting Russian youth policy at the international level.
