Business dialog "Russia-Vietnam" was first held in Hanoi from October 28 to 30, 2019. It was attended by the leadership of Russia and Vietnam, as well as Russian and Vietnamese companies representing such areas as: trade, finance, real estate, tourism, textile industry, IT and others. Among the members of the RAUIE, PEK and Uchi.ru took part in the business mission.

Vitaliy Mankevich, in his speech emphasized the projects of the RAUIE members and the possibilities of trade, economic and investment cooperation: “Russian-Vietnamese trade turnover showed a great increase from $1 billion in the early 2000s to $6 billion in 2018. The total volume of accumulated direct Vietnamese investments in Russia is about $ 2.97 billion, and we hope that our business mission will increase the volume of bilateral Russian-Vietnamese investments. Russian companies are actively investing in the oil and gas sector of Vietnam, in the tourism sector and other industries. Russian exports to Vietnam are predominantly non-primary, out of $2.5 billion of exports from our country, 25% is agricultural products, 35% is machinery and equipment. We see great prospects for the export of Russian agricultural products. Members of our association offer grain, meat, milk, pharmaceutical products, and are interested in importing light industry products, promoting IT projects and mutual investments, ” noted Vitaly Mankevich. Also in the framework of the business dialogue,
a memorandum of cooperation between the RAUIE and the Vietnamese company Tiscovina was signed.
The main aim of the Russian-Vietnamese dialogue is to search for new opportunities for the development of mutual trade and economic ties and investment projects, as well as to obtain relevant information on the economic opportunities of the two countries. Trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Vietnam is actively developing, with special emphasis being placed on increasing non-resource exports. During the visit, the issue of regular meetings between representatives of business and government of Vietnam and Russia will be discussed. This event is a return visit after the Hanoi-Moscow forum.
Socialist Republic of Vietnam is one of the fastest growing economies not only in Southeast Asia, but also throughout the world. The population of Vietnam is 95 million people, GDP exceeds $240 billion. Vietnam was the first country to conclude an FTA agreement with the EAEU, which allowed a significant increase in trade. Historically, the authorities and people of Vietnam are very friendly to Russia and open to joint projects.
