On October 27 Murmansk hosted the Export Day of the Murmansk region. Within its framework, regional exporters were told about the measures of state support in promoting agricultural products to foreign markets, the specifics of working on Asian and Middle Eastern marketplaces, and the possibilities of finding foreign partners.
The event was organized by the Government of the region and "My Business". The Export Support Center of the Murmansk Region organized a round table on the topic “Export of agricultural products: demand, prospects, features on the example of China, Turkey, Iran, North African countries. Government support for the promotion of agricultural products abroad.
RAUIE Chairman Vitaly Mankevich spoke on the topic: "Cooperation with the countries of Southeast Asia and the Middle East: new realities." “The current situation puts the Russian business in front of the need to reorient to the East, search for new suppliers and markets for products, investment partners, primarily in Asia. As for imports from China, according to the estimates of our Trade and Economic Cooperation Department , 70% of the shortfall in imports from Europe and the USA can be replaced by supplies from China. In the short term, it is often the replacement of shortfalls in imports by supplies from Asia, but this happens in order not to stop production. However, such an approach is not suitable for the long term, therefore RAUIE actively promotes the establishment of a strategic parity partnership, the development of the production sector.”
