Round table "Development of relations of the Republic of Mordovia with the PRC in the field of trade, economic, cultural and educational cooperation"

On March 15, the RAUIE team took part in the round table "Development of relations between the Republic of Mordovia and the People's Republic of China in the field of trade, economic, cultural and educational cooperation", which was held in a blended format, both offline and online.

In current international political realities, the focus of our country's economic development has shifted to the Eastern direction. China is now Russia's largest partner, and the cooperation of our countries mostly determines the vector of movement of the entire Eurasian continent. Mordovia is an important industrial and agricultural region of the Russian Federation and one of the leaders in terms of socio—economic development in the Volga Federal District, so its contribution to Russia's relations with China is substantial.

At the round table, the Chairman of the RAUIE Vitaly Mankevich and the Vice-President of the Union Olga Kalinkina spoke about the industrial, economic, scientific and educational potential of the Republic, its cultural diversity, as well as about the work carried out by the RAUIE to develop business cooperation between the regions of the Russian Federation and China: from opening representative offices and arranging supplies to resolving bureaucratic issues and organizing negotiations with representatives of the industry of interest.

Ekaterina Balashova, representing the RAUIE export Committee, continued the speech of her colleagues, drawing attention to the peculiarities of the Chinese mentality, the changes that have occurred in Russian-Chinese cooperation due to the pandemic, the importance of business reputation and digitization of business processes.

Olga Lisienko, head of the Novosibirsk branch of the RAUIE, spoke about the organization and opportunities of business missions, and the head of the Krasnoyarsk branch, Alyona Shvetsova, who develops the regional network of the Union, shared her experience of cooperation with representatives of Mordovia, prospects for the development of the region's brand within the food industry, and export opportunities.

Anastasia Kalyuzhnaya, Chairman of the Creative Industries Committee of the RAUIE, clearly outlined the possibilities of cultural interaction with China in the field of cinematography, variety, theater, art, music, as well as in the educational sphere.
