RAUIE together with the Presidential Commissioner for Entrepreneurs’ Rights, the Russian-Chinese Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development, the Administration of the Vladimir Region and the Trade and Economic Representation of Jiangsu Province in the Russian Federation held an event dedicated to the export of Russian eco-goods to China as part of a business forum "Russia - Jiangsu Province".
“We see how the demand for Russian food products in China is growing. In connection with this, the Union decided to create pavilions of Russian products in China - there are already two of them. There, our Russian companies can place samples absolutely free of charge, this is our program to help entrepreneurs in such difficult times,” said Suzanna Mkrtchyan, Vice President of RAUIE.
During the event, the speakers discussed the current demand for Russian food products in China and new opportunities for its supply, how to properly certify products for import, and what documents are needed for this.
“Exports amounted to $8.4 billion, imports of $2.8 billion increased by 32%. As of July 2022, Russia has invested 130 billion in 248 projects in the provinces. Russia is an important destination and source of cargo for cargo industries. Today's meeting is very important for improving the efficiency of customs clearance, developing imports and exports. Our Ministry will contribute to this,” said Zhou Xiao Yang, Deputy Minister of Commerce of Jiangsu Province.
Yulia Kapranova, executive director of the Russian-Chinese Committee for Peace, Friendship and Development, also added that agricultural products and food products are one of the essential elements in the growth of exports to China. Russian regions are interested in increasing food exports. And the Committee contributes to this in every possible way.”
The forum was also attended by China Brand Testing Inspection Association, Jiangsu Province Yangzhou Belt and Road Development Promotion Association, Moscow Region Export Promotion Center, Jiangsu Province Huai'an Department of Commerce.
