On October 5-6, in the Hilton Leningradskaya Hotel (Moscow), the RAUIE brought togather 35 largest Indian producers of ceramics and pharmaceuticals to hold negotiations with Russian companies. The event was supported by the Indian Business Alliance, the Indian Embassy in the Russian Federation and the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. During the event, the participants got acquainted with Indian exporters, discussed business, tested samples, and also found business partners for further cooperation.
Vice-President of the RAUIE Syuzanna Mkrtchyan made a speech: “Despite COVID-19, in January-July 2021, the volume of mutual trade between Russia and India increased by 9%. In the Q1 2021, trade increased by 2.26% over the same period last year and reached $ 2.3 billion. The volume of exports for the Q1 2021 amounted to $ 1.3 billion, which is 2.1% higher than in 2020, and the volume of imports amounted to $ 998 million and increased by 2.46%. This indicator shows the positive dynamics of trade and economic relations between the two countries. Moreover, both countries have set a goal of reaching $ 30 billion in bilateral trade by 2025, and we are confident that Russia and India will meet that goal.
