On December 6, at the Center for Foreign Economic Activity 360, a round table was held on the trade and economic cooperation development between Russia and Vietnam. The event was organized by the RAUIE regional branch in St. Petersburg with the support of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg.
During the event, the parties discussed the specifics of doing business between the countries, identified prosctive areas for bilateral cooperation - IT technology, tourism, wood processing, as well as export and import of foodstuffs, etc.
The speakers were the heads of corporations from St. Petersburg and the regions of Vietnam. They not only presented their companies and talked about their projects, but spoke about the current Russian-Vietnamese relations, highlighted key problems and trends.
Kirill Radchenko, head of the RAUIE regional branch in St. Petersburg: "Vietnam and the ASEAN countries are a growth points for the foreign economic activity of Russian business. Despite the distance, a number of enterprises in St. Petersburg and the Northwestern Federal District are attracting investments and expanding exports to Vietnam and other ASEAN countries."
At the end of the official part, B2B negotiations were organized between interested participants. Several companies agreed to hold additional meetings to discuss further cooperation and conclude contracts.
