On January 22 at the Hanoi-Moscow a ceremony on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Vietnam was held. The reception was attended by the RAUIE members from the Asia-Pacific Bank, Intermark, Rosbank.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary
Mr. Nong Duc Manh made a solemn speech. He noted that 2020 will be the cross year of Vietnam and Russia.
“This is a big event, in the framework of which more than 200 events will be held. All these events are significant, symbolic and are indeed a new impetus to strengthening and deepening relations between the two countries. Numerous ministries, departments, regions and socio-political organizations of Vietnam and Russia will take part in the cross year. These events are not only a cultural exchange, but also a high-level exchange of delegations, holding forums and conferences to exchange experiences, promote trade, tourism, investment, and communication between people,” said the Ambassador.
Nikolai Nozdrev - Director of the 3rd Department of Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation also held a speech. He thanked the Vietnamese side for their assistance and expressed hope that 2020 will be an impetus for building relations between the countries. “The Vietnamese people have always been our friend and have a warm attitude towards Russia, I hope this trend will continue.”
Performances with Vietnamese folk songs were organized for the guests of the reception, and national refreshments were also offered.
