Russia, due to its location, is one of the key links in the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative, in addition, the country is a large emerging market in the field of cross-border e-commerce (according to the Russian E-Commerce Association, the volume of e-sales in Russia from January to April rose by 50% compared to the same period this year). China has been the largest foreign economic partner of the Russian Federation for 12 years, the foreign trade turnover between the countries in 2021 reached 146.87 billion, an increase of 35.9%. At the moment, the deepening of cooperation continues.
The key topic of the event was the question - how can Chinese entrepreneurs in the field of cross-border e-commerce enter the Russian market in today's realities?
Chairman of the RAUIE Vitaly Mankevich spoke as an honorary speaker at the event with the topic “Cross-border e-commerce between Russia and China in the context of the One Belt and One Road Initiative”: “Today electronic technologies are penetrating deeper into everyday life . The development of electronic commerce greatly simplifies mutual integration, increases the speed of sales, and contributes to significant cost savings. This is very important for the economies of our countries. Therefore, RAUIE actively promotes the creation of a barrier-free environment for cross-border e-procurement between our states. At the moment, Russia is striving to expand economic cooperation with the countries participating in the One Belt, One Road initiative.”
