On October 10, 2022, a round table was held in the Federation Council of the Russian Federation on the topic “Reorientation of the export of Russian goods to the markets of friendly countries”.
The round table participants discussed the problems and prospects for Russian exporters to enter new markets, including the issues of reducing administrative barriers, building new customs, logistics and trade relations, increasing the competitiveness of Russian products with export potential, measures of state support for Russian exports in the new economic conditions.
The round table was moderated by Konstantin Dolgov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy and member of the RAUIE Expert Council.
At the invitation of Senator Andrey Kutepov, Chairman of the RAUIE Vitaly Mankevich took part in the round table: “It is very important for Russia to deepen trade cooperation within the framework of the BRICS and SCO interstate associations, as well as ASEAN. And we feel these trends ourselves - now exporters are more interested in expanding business with China, Vietnam, India, Turkey and other countries. These are high-capacity markets, and they will become a priority for our companies. Raw material exports are already successfully coping with the reorientation of volumes. In turn, in Asian countries there is a demand and demand is constantly growing, due to the high rates of economic development of industry. Another reserve is the development of cooperative ties between enterprises through the creation of joint ventures. RAUIE is working to attract companies from Asia to create joint ventures in Russia.”
