On December 20, the first Russian-Chinese youth dialogue took place at Greenwood Business Park. Fan Xiangzhong delivered a welcoming speech. He noted the positive dynamics regarding the youth interaction between Russia and China: the “One Belt, One Road” initiative received tremendous support from Russia and significantly expanded the space for Sino-Russian cooperation.
The President of the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs
Vitaly Mankevich said that the success of cooperation lies in the development of cooperation between youth groups, universities, Russian-Chinese youth organizations.
During the event,
Zhang Mingjie, head of the Chinese Association of Students Studying Abroad,
Yuan Yi, managing partner of the Moscow representative office of DHH Law Firm,
Zhang Sofia, vice president of Umka Mall electronic trading platform shared their learning experiences in Russia. All of them noted that the adaptation mechanisms of students abroad should be more effective: students should receive unhindered medical care, know where to go in case of organizational problems, and not feel “strangers” in the student community.
A few years ago, the leaders of China and Russia identified and set the goal by 2020 to bring the level of student exchanges to 100 thousand people a year. At present, the number of students has already reached 90 thousand, and we can say that the goal is almost achieved. Not only student exchanges, but also the opening of joint educational institutions are the key points of bilateral cooperation.
Joint projects between China and Russia can not only improve the quality of the education system, bring their experience to a new country, but also introduce students to the culture of a friendly neighboring state. One of the largest projects in this area is the University jointly created by Moscow State University and the Beijing Polytechnic Institute in Shenzhen.
