The International Public Action #GardenOfPeace has started

On April 25, 2021, the RAUIE together with other partners under the auspices of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, launched the unlimited International Public Action "Garden of Peace" under the slogan "Save the world - Plant a tree - Save the planet".



Representatives of 18 countries took part in the action: Russia, USA, India, China, Canada, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Armenia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, France, Switzerland, Luxembourg.

There were live broadcasts from the sites of the action and tree planting in Russia.



In Nelidovo near the Common Grave of Panfilov Heroes, the official start of the International Public Action "Garden of Peace" was given by the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrei Belyaninov: “80 years ago, showing an example of fraternal unity, an example of courage and heroism, Russians, Kazakhs, Kyrgyz, and also Ukrainians, Belarusians, Uzbeks, representatives of other peoples, shoulder to shoulder held the defense near Moscow. In memory of the fallen heroes, 28 trees will now be planted here ”.



The RAUIE was represented by: President Vitaly Mankevich, Chairman of the Expert Council, Deputy Yury Volkov, Head of the Maotai company Zhao Weixing. Also, the head of UWEE Yang Fei participated in the action online from China.



Vitaly Mankevich: “K.D. Ushinsky wrote: "As there is no man without pride, so there is no man without love for the Fatherland. And this love gives the right key to a man's heart." And today the main task that each of us must set is to preserve the memory of the heroic deed of the people, to convey to the younger generation the value of life and peace on earth, to involve young people in important historical events. Today's youth must remember at what cost our grandfathers and great-grandfathers defended our freedom. The events associated with the Second World War, where side by side, representatives of different countries fought against a common enemy, go deeper and deeper into history. The goal of our today's action is not only to plant trees, but also to perpetuate the memory of the victims, to foster a respect for nature and to show that we, Russians, are always for peace. "
