The RAUIE and the Ambassador of Indonesia held a working meeting and agreed to expand cooperation

On March 11, 2021, at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Moscow, the first meeting of the new Ambassador of Indonesia, Jose Antonio Morato Tavares and the RAUIE executives took place.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide sector of initiatives to develop trade, increase the volume of mutual investments, implement joint projects in the field of tourism and information cooperation.





The RAUIE executives expressed interest in the development of trade and economic ties, the investment sphere, and planned to hold a joint offline event dedicated to the 71st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and Indonesia.

Vitaly Mankevich: “Our Union continues to cooperate and closely communicate with the Ambassador of the previous mission, Mr. M. Vahid Supriyadi, and we hope that with Mr. Tavares we will also build warm and trusting relations. The RAUIE's mission is the development of business relations with Asian countries, therefore cooperation with Indonesia is especially important for us. The RAUIE is ready to assist in bringing Indonesian goods to Russian marketplaces, including clothing and footwear, help develop mutual trade in agricultural products, create representative offices of Indonesian companies in the Russian Federation and set up marketing and sales offices in Russia. "



“Unfortunately, in the era of the pandemic, Indonesia has lost most of the tourist flow both from Russia and from other European countries. But the Indonesians were able to turn this situation to their advantage. Architectural monuments, outdated hotels were urgently restored, beaches were cleaned. Now Indonesia is ready to provide tourists with the highest service. Also, the Embassy supports the RAUIE's initiative to create an Indonesian cafe in the center of Moscow, and all embassy employees will be happy to visit this place as often as possible!
