The RAUIE, China Harbor, Colombo Port City, and the Embassy of Sri Lanka discussed prospects for cooperation in the fields of investment and logistics

During a business meeting involving representatives of the RAUIE, China Harbor, Colombo Port City, and the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Russia, key areas of collaboration between Russian, Chinese, and Sri Lankan business circles were discussed.

Colombo Port City is a special economic zone implemented on the Dubai Islands model, and it is also Sri Lanka's largest public-private partnership (PPP) project, aimed at becoming a regional financial hub of the future.

The Port of Colombo is Sri Lanka’s main port and one of the largest artificial ports in the world. Annually, over 30 million tons of cargo and 4.1 million TEUs pass through the port. It has the potential to become a vital transportation hub, integrating Russian freight flows with existing sea routes, including those to China and other Asian countries.

Colombo Port City and the Port of Colombo are of significant interest to Russian businesses.
