The RAUIE establishes cooperation in the timber industry

On May 17, an online conference was held as part of the opening of the international business mission of timber companies to the People's Republic of China.

The speakers of the conference were the Director of the Department of Asia, Africa, Latin America of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Trade Representative of Russia in China, the Plenipotentiary Minister of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Russian Federation, the General Representative of the Chinese Committee for the Promotion of International Trade in the Russian Federation, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Russian trading company in China and others.



The conference was aimed at developing of Russian exports of sawn timber and timber products, developing direct contacts between buyers from China and Russian exporters, informing about government support measures and current trends in the industry.

President of the RAUIE Vitaly Mankevich: “The timber industry remains one of the most prospecive areas of cooperation between our countries, and, as practice shows, the search for compromises to ensure mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and China always gives a positive result, as long as the parties are interested in it.

Together with our 6 representative offices in China, we annually implement more than 50 trade and economic projects, and help new Russian companies to enter the Chinese market and Chinese companies to enter the Russian market, to establish relations with Russian business and government authorities, to set up a procurement and sales department ”
