The RAUIE increases the recognition of domestic medicine in the PRC

Against the backdrop of the global COVID-19 spread, international cooperation in the field of medicine and health has become a hot topic that attracts the attention of all countries. On December 9, within the framework of the Global Medical Tourism Summit, Vice-President of the RAUIE Mkrtchyan Syuzanna spoke about the cooperation between Russia and China in the field of medicine and pharmaceuticals, paying special attention to the challenges and prospects in this direction.


“There are a number of Russian medical institutions that have been successfully cooperating with China for a long time, and their number is constantly growing. An effecient dialogue between Russia and the PRC in the field of medicine is facilitated by specialized events such as exhibitions. It is very important to raise awareness of local travel brands and medical facilities. Chinese tourists are well aware of what they can get in Europe, Japan, Korea and the United States, they are aware of health-improving recreation in the countries of Southeast Asia, but they do not know anything about recreation in Russia. ”, Said Syuzanna Mkrtchyan.

The event was also attended by Yana Shevchenko, head of the Investment Development Agency of the Irkutsk Region, who focused on the project in the field of medical tourism being implemented by the RAUIE members. “Russia is an attractive destination for Chinese patients in the field of IVF, oncology and cardiaology. Our medical services are 2-3 times cheaper than Korean and Israeli ones, and have a high potential for attracting foreign patients and exporting medical services. "
