From January 6 to 9, the delegation of the RAUIE with the head of the representative office of the RAUIE in China (Guangzhou) -
Aleksey Fedotov paid a working visit to Xuzhou (Jiangsu Province). During the visit, the delegation studied the industrial and scientific clusters of the city, and also discussed further plans for cooperation between Russia and China. The organizer of the visit was the Xuzhou City Economic and Technological Development Management Committee.
The city has several advantages, one of which is its convenient geographical position - it is the central city of the Huaihai economic zone, connecting four neighboring provinces. Xuzhou City has a good transport and logistics system, covering 140 million people. For Russian companies in the city of Xuzhou there are prospects for cooperation in the field of science, innovation, engineering and precision equipment, as well as Russian investors can take part in high-tech and educational projects.
For these purposes, a representative of the RAUIE visited the Xuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone. During the visit, negotiations were held between the RAUIE and Deputy Director of the Board of the Xuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone -

During the visit, the RAUIE discussed a plan for investment cooperation in the economic development zone. The director of the Investment Promotion Bureau, Mr. Wang Fen, pointed out the advantages in working on joint Russian-Chinese projects. The city has a number of support measures for entrepreneurs, such as tax subsidies, discounts, special customs conditions: "We hope that we will rely on the benefits of the preference policy and begin cooperation."
During a business mission, Alexey Fedotov also visited the Fengxian County Digital Innovation Center, where he got acquainted with the Smart City project. Project Director Fang Jun emphasized that the project could attract a Russian delegation to transfer technology between Russia and China.
The RAUIE plans to establish cultural and tourist ties with the city of Xuzhou. For these purposes, a visit to the Han Culture Promotion Association was organized, which has close ties with the Xuzhou City Tourism Bureau. The meeting also considered the possibility of organizing the RAUIE cultural events in Jiangsu Province.
