On the Lunar New Year's Eve, the RAUIE organized a celebration.
An intercultural marathon was held at the Druzhba shopping center, which is one of the first large Chinese investment projects in Russia. Young girls in Chinese folk costumes treated the visitors of the Shopping Center with “fortune cookies”, which is one of the main symbols of the holiday. As part of the celebration, dance performances were held - modern dances with Chinese elements. Visitors were also able to write their wishes to Chinese collegues on the mega-postcard. The poster-postcard will be handed over to the Chinese Embassy in the Russian Federation. Also the RAUIE held a quiz on the knowledge of Chinese culture and traditions, the winners received gifts. This action became the first humanitarian Russian-Chinese event implemented by the RAUIE in 2021. The event was covered by a large number of media.
A festive atmosphere, good mood and a drawing of prizes was presented by the RAUIE to the residents of the capital. The event participants were gald to take part, because thanks to it they learned a lot about the culture of the Middle Kingdom and the traditions of celebrating the "Chunjie" holiday.
Mkrtchyan Syuzanna, Vice-President of the RAUIE: “Today, one of the key areas of development is strengthening Russian-Asian relations not only through bilateral trade and investment, but also through scientific, technological and humanitarian cooperation between our countries. And today I am very glad to be here and tell Russians about China. After all, it is culture that helps to better understand each other in all languages of the world, and without understanding it is impossible to build business ties. "
