On June 28, a Russian-Chinese conference was held online on the railway construction from China to Europe with the participation of Russia. The event was organized by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Russian Federation. Within the framework of the 2-hour meeting, the participants were able to consider the following topics: methods that contribute to the development and optimization of cross-border rail transport, the problems that are most acute in the current conditions and ways to overcome them, as well as the nearest prospects.
The speakers of the event were the Plenipotentiary Minister of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Russian Federation, Li Jingyuan, General Director of AVIK Forestry LLC Li Wending; Liu Le, Head of Logistics Department, Xinjiang International Land Port; Deputy General Manager of Xi'an Free Trade Port Construction and Operation Co., Ltd. Ge Fui; CFO of Shanghai Torgmoll Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd Fan Chunxu; Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of LLC TLC White Rast Xia Ting.

Vice-President of the RAUIE Mkrtchyan Suzanne also took part in the event: “Unlike sea transportation, which takes 30 days, railway transportation takes 19 days. At the same time, there are a number of problems, but they can be eliminated by improving the railway track, and introducing preferential tax conditions for warehouses and various logistics infrastructure, or attracting subsidies that will reduce the cost of railway transportation. ”
