On November 5-6, the second International Municipal Forum of the BRICS countries was held online. The Forum is included in the calendar of the Russian presidency of BRICS in 2020 and is supported by the Russian Foreign Ministry, Rossotrudnichestvo and the Government of St. Petersburg.
In addition to the RAUIE executives, experts of the panel discussion were Nonna Kagramanyan - Vice President of Business Russia; Alexander Suchkov, Business Ambassador of DBusiness Russia in Guangdong Province; Gilberto Ramos, President of the Brazil-Russia Chamber of Commerce; George Sebulela, Founder and President of the African Business Council.
On the panel discussion “The role of Public Associations in the development of cooperation between the municipalities of the BRICS countries,” Vice-President of the RAUIE Mkrtchyan Syuzanna made a speech. She noted that interaction at business associations level can facilitate the process of finding partners in the BRICS countries, thereby increasing the level of interaction between business associations.
“We have studied the statistics, it turns out that trade cooperation between Russia in the SCO and BRICS format is developing 20% more dynamically than with the rest of the world. Our Union has implemented a large number of projects, an example of one of the latest municipal humanitarian projects is the donation of Personal Protective Equipment from Yiwu to the Dorogomilovsky District. Interaction at the business associations level can facilitate the process of finding partners in the BRICS countries, thereby increasing the level of interaction between business associations ”said
