The RAUIE visited a closed presentation of a new SUV from the Chinese holding Sinomach

The Chinese holding Sinomach introduced a new model to the Russian market - the luxury hybrid SUV Rox 01, with sales scheduled to start in January 2025. In connection with this, together with the Union's members, the RAUIE visited a closed presentation of the SUV. The vehicles will be sold through the Oting dealer network. In 2025, the number of car dealerships in Russia is planned to increase from 32 to 80.

There is no doubt that the future lies with the Chinese automotive industry, as in the near future of the next 5-10 years, they will be able to outsell many global brands. The prospects of cooperation between Russia and China in the automotive sector are very extensive. Both countries have strong production bases and technological capabilities, allowing them to create competitive cars and components. In addition, both Russia and China have huge markets for cars, which ensures demand for products and stimulates the development of the industry. Moreover, cooperation in the automotive sector can contribute to the development of infrastructure and transport logistics in both countries. Joint projects to create roads, technical service stations, and other facilities will help improve conditions for the development of the automotive industry and increase the efficiency of the transportation system.

Interestingly, the representatives of the holding also stated that with the start of official sales in Russia, the Rox will introduce a system for controlling vehicles not intended for the local market. If such cars are found outside of China, all three multimedia screens in the salon will be disabled, and the car's system will recommend contacting dealers, with unlocking only possible through contacting the manufacturer at their office in China. Cars imported into Russia before December 2024 will not be subject to blocking, the company pointed out.
