On September 5, a regatta was held in Moscow, organized jointly by the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RAUIE) and PEK. The event was attended by many guests, among whom were Vice Governor of the Vladimir Region Mikhail Korotaev, State Duma Deputy Yuri Volkov, General Director of Dahua Technology Zhao Shengbo, Vice President of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Anton Storchak and President of the RAUIE Vitaly Mankevich, as well as many members and partners of the Union.
The President of the Union noted that informal meetings are in line with Chinese business practice: to become partners, you first need to become friends. He noted that the Union's task is to provide assistance to Russian and Asian businesses, as well as to be a platform for business projects implementation. He paid special attention to the work of the Union on the development of an all-Russian network of branches.
Vadim Filatov, co-founder and shareholder, deputy director of PEC, noted: “Sailing and business are very similar. In both cases, the command works. Also yachting and business are united by the presence of tactics. And, of course, there is luck. And most importantly, the situation can change at any time depending on the direction of the wind. It's the same in business. I wish you all success and good time. "
After the end of the official part, participants were divided into 10 teams of 5 people each and took part in a sports competition. There were 4 sailing race and according to the results the team “Gagarin”, headed by Rostislav Rovbel, the vice-governor of the Smolensk region, won. The team in which the vice-president of the RAUIE and the deputy of the State Duma Yuri Volkov were took the second place, and the team with Olga Lisienko, the head of the regional branch of the RAUIE in the Novosibirsk region, took the third place.
The winners received certificates of honor and medals, and after the award ceremony, an informal part with a banquet and live music began.
“We are trying different event formats, and such as today, which includes sports, informal communication and a banquet, seems to be the closest to us and our members. Today we held such an event for the first time in partnership with PEC and we hope that in the future there will be even more such events, and they will be held even more often, ” Vitaly Mankevich said at the end.
