On December 12, a reception was held at the
Baltschug Kempinski Moscow Hotel on the occasion of summing up the five-year “turn to the East”.
The honorary guests of the reception were ambassadors and trade advisers of Asian countries: China, the Republic of the Philippines, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, as well as State Duma deputies, members of the Federation Council, Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador on Special Assignments

The President of the RAUIE, Vitaliy Mankevich, summed up the results of the Union in 2019 and described the key trends of the “Turn to the East”. He noted that on average over the past 5 years, trade between Russia and Asian countries has increased by almost 20%, and now building up scientific, technical and innovative cooperation will become a priority for Russia. Vitaly Mankevich also emphasized the development of relations between Asia and Russia among small and medium-sized businesses and the importance of developing financial infrastructure.
The Asia-Pacific Bank pays special attention to the development of projects of both regional and sub-federal significance. APB is a participant of national projects, including the project “Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and the Support of Individual Entrepreneurship Initiatives”, is actively involved in the implementation of state support programs, such as programs to stimulate lending to small and medium-sized enterprises and subsidies of the Ministry of Economic Development.

Boris Titov delivered a welcoming speech:
“Russia has great potential for investment cooperation with Asian countries.” He noted that in recent years, not only billaterial trade, but also investment cooperation has been growing between Russia and Asian countries. Boris Titov thanked the RAUIE for helping small and medium-sized businesses to advance in the Asia.
The Presidential Commissioner for Entrepreneurs’ Rights also noted that special attention should be paid to protecting Russian business in Asia, and entrepreneurs from Asia need to protect business in the Russian Federation.

The RAUIE summed up the results of the five-year turn to the East and, in honor of this event, held
the largest Russian business flash mob “In the Name of Friendship and Peace” using a huge luminous ball, symbolizing the rejection of interethnic and inter-confessional conflicts, strengthening cooperation between countries and confidence in each other to a friend.
As part of the gala evening, the ceremony of presenting
the 3rd annual Golden Dragon Award was held in 15 categories: Breakthrough of the Year, Project of the Year, Kind Heart, Contribution of the Year and others.
During the reception, the RAUIE signed an agreement on cooperation with
the Association of Clusters and Technology Parks of Russia, the Association of Vietnamese businessmen in the Russian Federation and
the Moscow Export Center.
During the evening, guests familiarized with the national cuisine of Asian countries: a food zone with Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese, Filipino cuisines was organized. The Russian cuisine was introduced by the
Siberian Collection brand, a major producer of frozen semi-finished products in Russia. Drinks were presented by the Russian wine house
Abrau-Durso, the leading producer of sparkling and still wines in Russia and the Chinese brand of strong alcoholic drinks
Luzhou Laojiao, the production of which began back in 200 years. The event was accompanied by musical and dance performances of Asian countries, as well as raffle of valuable prizes from sponsors.
