On November 27, in an online format, with the RAUIE assistance, a business dialogue "Udmurtia Calling Vietnam" was held with the participation of the Udmurt Republic Head Alesandr Brechalov, Director of the Trade Promotion Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, Mr. Vu Ba Fu, as well as representatives of government agencies, Russian and Vietnamese business. The event was moderated by Mikhail Khomich, Deputy Prime Minister of the Udmurt Republic.
“Udmurtia Calling” in the format of a marathon has already been held with Germany and Italy, and in 2021 at least 6 international presentations are planned.

The business dialogue participants discussed the prospects for further cooperation in the economic, export and investment spheres. Recall that this year the countries are celebrating the 70th anniversary of the diplomatic relations establishment.
In the welcoming speech, Mr. Wu Ba Fu drew particular attention to the development dynamics of Russian-Vietnamese relations and noted that the bilaterial trade turnover reached in 2019. $ 3.5 billion.
Alexander Brechalov made a presentation of the regional economic potential, outlining the priority positions of production: 40% of calcium and 20% of zirconium products for the nuclear industry, 2% of all drones and 20% of all small arms in the world. “ According to him, Udmurtia is already exporting products to Vietnam: alloy rods, paints and varnishes, veneer, products of the military-industrial complex, and also has reliable partners among Vietnamese companies. 4 industrial parks, 23 property objects and 13 land plots have been prepared in the region for investors.
The Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in Vietnam Vyacheslav Kharinov and the Trade Representative of Vietnam in the Russian Federation Mr. Duong Hoang Minh also took part in the business program, paying special attention to the promotion of trade and economic cooperation between the countries.
