Vitaly Mankevich addresses to Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum 2023

Vitaly Mankevich, the president of the RAUIE spoke at the panel discussion “Russia–China. Topical and prospective vectors of cooperation in the time of global shocks” on the 2nd of March.

The last year has severely affected world politics and economy. The forum discussed the transformation in these fields and its consequences to external economic relations.

In light of these changes, Russian-China cooperation witnessed immense growth. Although cooperation between countries has a long history, there are still some problems to solve. As stated, new circumstances create new obstacles. Due to this saying, speakers draw exclusive attention to both the state and prospects of bilateral partnership in modern conditions and to tasks that need to be solved at the panel discussion.

Vitaly Mankevich elaborated on the main landmarks of development of Russian-China trade and economic relations, difficulties that cooperation faces and possible ways to overcome them. He highlighted fields in which Chinese investment is expected to grow, and pointed out that PRC companies extensively replace enterprises from unfriendly countries that have left the Russian market.

President of RAUIE stressed that Russian companies are aimed not just at imports, but also at production cooperation. Localization of Chinese company’s production in Russia may be profitable for both countries as China experiences overcrowdings and dense buildings and Russia can offer idled factories and provide unused production capacity. RAUIE directly participates in the implementation of these tasks.

The Union actively promotes expansion of business links between entrepreneurs of both countries, among other aspects, assists Russian companies in opening of representative offices in China on the basis of RAUIE to simplify business cooperation and bureaucratic problems solving.
