Vitaly Mankevich, Chairman of RAUIE: “Today we see good dynamics in the expansion of trade relations between the Russian Federation and China. Already last year, trade between Russia and China reached a record $146 billion. At the moment, Russia and China are aiming to increase trade to $200 billion, and given that in the first quarter of 2022 alone, this figure grew by 28.7% compared to with the same period last year, the prospects are quite good. In the short term, it is often the replacement of shortfalls in imports by supplies from Asia that plays a huge role. However, such an approach is not suitable for the long term, therefore, RAUIE actively promotes the establishment of a strategic parity partnership, the development of the production sector.”
