On the weekend of April 3-4, the third, final, stage of the China Campus Network Competition and the Confucius Institute of the Russian State University for the Humanities took place. It was attended by 27 children from Russian schools. The first round, which took place on March 9-11, was attended by 1,100 children.
The Competition were simultaneously held in two directions:
- Chinese (for children with a level of Chinese from HSK 2)
- Economy and culture of China (knowledge of Chinese is not required)
In each category, the jury selected three winners who received the iPhone SE, Xiaomi Mi Pad and Amazon Kindle e-book. The most important and most unexpected prize was the opportunity for an internship at the RAUIE. This is an unprecedented opportunity for high school students to test their knowledge in practice before entering a university.
Jayamaha Milinda, a leading specialist of the RAUIE Special Projects Department, acted as an honorary guest of the Competition and assessed the participants' performances from the practical side.
The strongest 9 participants reached the final and fought for the main prize places. Participants were asked to choose one of the topical socio-cultural themes of modern China and prepare a presentation. The topic of e-commerce was especially popular - it was chosen by 4 out of 9 participants.
The participants were assessed not only for the skills of argumentation and logical thinking, but also for originality and creativity, literacy of speech and form of presentation and charisma.
