The RAUIE held a meeting with representatives of the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF) headed by Mr. Zhang Kelin.
This organization was founded in March 2001 in connection with the reform of the industrial management system in China. It consists of national and regional associations of the machinery industry, enterprises and institutions, research institutes, and other organizations, with over 1114 direct members in total. In addition, there are 61 state-owned institutions under the auspices of CMIF.
The main goals of the meeting were:
- Establishing friendly relations
- Promoting exchange of products and technologies between Russian and Chinese companies
- Developing trade and investment cooperation between member companies on both sides
- Organizing joint events
Furthermore, they discussed the specifics of working in Russia and methods of entering the domestic market.
