The honorary guests of the reception were ambassadors and trade advisers of Asian countries: China, the Republic of the Philippines, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Turkey, as well as State Duma deputies, members of the Federation Council, representatives of business circles of the Russian Federation and Asian countries.
The RAUIE Chairman Vitaly Mankevich summed up the work of the Union in 2022, assessed trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Asian countries, and also highlighted prospective working areas for 2023: “Despite all the changes that 2022 brought us: geopolitical uncertainty , the difficulties of combating coronavirus infection, etc. our countries managed not only to withstand difficulties, but also to achieve success in deepening economic cooperation on a parity basis. Together we stand for the development of multipolar international relations. And we are ready to jointly confront emerging challenges and growing external pressure. The RAUIE plans to further promote the development of sustainable cooperation between our states, the main directions in 2023-2024 are: Holding the Russian-Asian Business Forum in April 2023, organizing sports events, implementing large investment projects, developing joint ventures, developing Union's regional network of representative offices, full-time and distance business education programs, and much more.”
The official part of the event started with welcoming speeches made by: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Philippines in the Russian Federation Igor G. Bailen, Trade Representative of the Vietnam in the Russian Federation Duong Hoang Minh, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Indonesian Embassy in the Russian Federation Barlian Helmi, President of the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in the Russian Federation Zhou Liqun, President of the Society of Russian-Indian Friendship Singh Rameshvar, Chairman of the Expert Council of the RAUIE Yury Gennadievich Volkov, Director of the Institute of Asian and African Countries of Moscow State University. During the event, the signing ceremony of 2 agreements was held:
- RAUIE and educational fund "Noosphere".
- RASPP and AnGo.
After the welcoming speeches, a flash mob was held, symbolizing world peace: children of different nationalities sang a song about peace in 3 languages, and then left their handprints on a canvas depicting the globe.
Further, according to tradition, there was a lottery drawing of prizes from RAUIE partners: a gift set from the Teana cosmetic brand, certificates for professional oral hygiene from La clinique, a box of beer and a box of soft drinks from Luzhou Laojiao, a certificate for a festive breakfast from the Metropol Hotel, certificates to Presnensky baths, Fenjiu Chinese vodka, a gift basket from the Sorceress chocolate factory, certificates at Lao Lin's Vietnamese cuisine cafe, Bottega Veneta cardholder from Hard luxe and much more.
In the second half of the event, the award ceremony of the 5th annual Golden Dragon 2022 awards took place, presented in 10 categories. The award is given for a special contribution to the development of Russian-Asian social and humanitarian relations.
The Chinese Embassy received the Breakthrough of the Year award: in the first eight months of 2022, China's investment in Russia amounted to $450 million, an increase of 150% compared to the same period last year. VSK Insurance Company became the "Insurance Company of the Year for the Development of the Financial Sector with Partners from China". Indonesia became the “Tourist Destination of the Year”, the award was presented to the Embassy of the Republic in the Russian Federation. Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow, received the award for efficient cooperation in the field of investments and improvement of the business climate. The Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation received an award in the "Project of the Year" nomination for the launch of a regular sea line along the route Vladivostok - Haiphong - Ho Chi Minh City - Ningbo - Vladivostok. “e-legion has become an IT partner for business scaling.” The Embassy of the Philippines was awarded the "Treasure of the Year" award. "Marketing Agency of the Year" was AGATECH. In the period January-September 2022, the trade turnover between Russia and India almost doubled compared to last year and amounted to $20.4 billion, thanks to which the Embassy of India in the Russian Federation received an award in the "Achievement of the Year" nomination. Avtodor received an award "For a special contribution to the development of Russian-Chinese partnerships in the field of road construction."
