It is believed that cooperation between Russia and China is based on energy, forestry, engineering and infrastructure - this is clearly seen in bilateral investment projects of both countries.
However, in recent years a completely different trend has emerged in the development of Russian-Chinese relations - the vector is shifting towards technology. The share of investments in the commodity sector is gradually decreasing, smoothly flowing towards innovation and scientific and technical cooperation.
The scientific and technical partnership between the Russian Federation and the PRC is multifaceted and is one of the most relevant, dynamically developing areas. Both parties are interested in developing and sharing material and intellectual resources for research. Such areas as: digital technologies, space exploration, intelligent transport systems, new materials, database processing systems, biotechnologies and pharmaceuticals, new energy sources, energy-saving and environmentally friendly technologies are of deep mutual interest.
At the current stage, joint Russian-Chinese technological projects are already being successfully implemented, for example, the joint venture CRAIC for the development of wide-body long-haul passenger liners and the cooperation between the "Russian Helicopters" holding and the Chinese company "Avicopter" to create the AC332 AHL heavy helicopter.
The implementation of these ideas is also facilitated by state programs of both countries - “Made in China 2025” in China and “National Technology Initiative 2035” in Russia. Also, following the results of negotiations between Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping in June, 2020-2021 were officially declared as years of Russian-Chinese scientific, technical and innovative cooperation.
Both Russia and China have already begun active preparations. Scientific organizations, universities, relevant ministries and departments, as well as interested commercial structures put forward their proposals on activities that will take place as part of the cross-cooperation years. Activities should be aimed at strengthening the joint training of scientific and technical personnel, increasing the integrated power and scientific and technical level of Russia and China.
This is not the first time that countries have practiced thematic cooperation programs, 2016-2017 were declared years of information exchange between the media, and 2018-2019 as years of interregional cooperation.
This format of interaction shows good results and positive dynamics of rapprochement between countries. Years of scientific, technical and innovative cooperation present even greater opportunities not only for state but also for commercial structures, as well as for private entrepreneurs and investors.

in person. The most productive format is the organization of road-shows in Russia, which include not only a number of
