On the second day of the forum "International Day of Import and Export 2021" on April 22, Moscow hosted a conference on bilateral cooperation between Russia and Asia "Working with Asia. Trade opportunities for the new decade: realizing the potential of interface between the EAEU and "One Belt - One Road" Initiative.
The event was organized by the RAUIE. The guest of honor was the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Russia, Mr. José Tovares. He spoke about the cooperation between Russia and Indonesia: “Diplomatic ties between Indonesia and Russia will be 71 this year. The present trade balance between Indonesia and Russia does not yet reflect the true potential for cooperation, but there is a huge number of opportunities for its activation. Indonesian coffee, tea, tropical fruits and fish products have great prospects in the Russian market. The Indonesian Embassy in Moscow continues to work on increasing trade value between our countries. ”
The ambassador also noted the readiness to further develop cooperation with the RAUIE and thanked the Union, as well as the President of the Union for active work on the development of bilateral relations.
Vice-President of the RAUIE Syuzanne Mkrtchyan made a speech: “The Asian market is showing increasing demand for imported products. In order to enter it at no extra cost, it is necessary to take into account many nuances - from the taste preferences of the Asians to the peculiarities of foreign economic activity, legislative regulation and certification standards. According to our research, about 86% of small businesses in Russia do not export. A strategy should include participation in exhibitions, marketing research, analytics, the use of a representative office in China and registration of a company, ”said Syuzanna Armenovna. She also noted that the RAUIE launched a new program for free equipment search for Russian manufacturers. In addition, the Union is ready to help free of charge with the placement of Russian goods in the largest showroom in Guangzhou.
