On December 13, in Moscow, with the assistance of the RAUIE, Avtodor’s leadership met with a delegation from Jiangxi province. The Chinese partners, represented by the Highway Investment Group, have shown great interest in participating in the Russian infrastructure industry as an investor.

Georgiy Chicherin, Deputy Chairman of the Board for Investments and Strategic Planning Avtodor. He told about the features of investment agreements in the field of roads in the Russian Federation. In addition, he noted that Avtodor makes a competitive selection for companies that want to invest in roads:
“All state-owned companies in the Russian Federation operate on special conditions. In Russia there is a ceiling of tariffs, which is approved by the government. Each area has a specific tariff. There is no single income distribution scheme. If we take the main risks on traffic flows, then the main profit goes to the state. We already have extensive experience working with foreign investors, for example, we built the Moscow-St. Petersburg highway with the participation of French investors.”
The Chinese side was represented by members of the Jiangxi Province Highway Investment Group, led by CEO Xie Dejiang. The Chinese side noted that their companies have been 10 years old, exactly like Avtodor: “Our companies have proven their effectiveness, therefore there are enormous prospects for cooperation. The Russian market is one of the most promising for us, we are interested in the joint implementation of projects for the development of road infrastructure, we are ready to share experience and technologies in this area. "
During the meeting,
the parties decided to form a road map for the further implementation of joint projects.
