"Economy against sanctions" - speech by the President of the RAUIE

On April 25, a session of the Yalta International Economic Forum "Economy against Sanctions" was held in Moscow. Representatives of the business community, authorities, public organizations and the media from eleven countries met to discuss the difficult tasks that were set for the domestic business by the sanctions, as well as the negative consequences for the business of European countries.

The speakers of the event were Denis Kravchenko, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy of the State Duma, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the YIEF Foundation, Prime Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov, Director of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia Ivan Fedotov, Chairman of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Konstantin Kolpakov and others .



The Russian side was represented by the heads of companies and trade unions, in particular, ROSATOM and the Diagnostic Systems holding.

The European side was represented by ex-Minister of Transport and member of the National Assembly of France Thierry Mariani, General Director of Casa Vaccari in the Russian Federation Gianni Vaccari, Macro-Advisory founder Christopher Weafer, owner of the Austrian white cement plant Josef Lasselsberger and others.



The RAUIE was presented by the Union's President Vitaliy Mankevich: “Now is a crucial moment for our country, for our economy and our entrepreneurs. And the RAUIE activity is now fully aimed at ensuring the supply of Russian companies with industrial equipment, components, semi-finished products, chemical and other raw materials, as well as the search for new markets and assistance in the development of Russian exports, attracting investments and developing financial ties.”

The outcome of the event was criticism of sanctions that harm not only the domestic but also the global economy. It was decided to organize an additional platform for discussing business problems at the international level and for finding effective solutions. A letter to the European Parliament will also be prepared.
