RAUIE took part in the National Week of Cancer Prevention and Control in Guangzhou

On April 13, 2026, as part of the National Week of Education on Cancer Prevention and Control in Guangzhou, a launching ceremony was held for a specialized program to develop joint units within the framework of disciplinary strengthening of CACA (China Anti-Cancer Association). The event was organized by the China Anti-Cancer Association together with major cancer hospitals.

The main theme of the event was: "Early prevention, early screening, early treatment – joint efforts in the fight against cancer." The event brought together high-quality academic resources from the China Anti-Cancer Association. Participants included leading Chinese experts and scientists in oncology, representatives of consulates from many countries in Guangzhou (including the Consulate of the Russian Federation), as well as more than 200 primary care doctors from across the country.

Significant progress has currently been made in cancer prevention and treatment in China. According to the latest data from the National Cancer Center of China, the overall five-year survival rate for cancer patients in the country has increased from 30.9% in 2005 to 43.7%, and is expected to exceed 46.6% by 2030.

Treatment for 148 types of tumors, the use of 60 leading technologies, and active engagement in more than 150 countries and regions worldwide. China's integrated model for cancer diagnosis and treatment is setting international trends.

In his report, Alexey Fedotov, Vice President of the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RAUIE), who is also Honorary President of the Russian branch of CACA, noted:

"Years of working and living in China have allowed me to deeply realize that medicine knows no borders! The concept of integrative oncology proposed by Academician Fan Daiming of China is not just technology export – it is an elevation of medical philosophy and a revolution in medical thinking. Russian medical tradition also attaches great importance to a holistic approach and values the body's ability to self-heal. Academician Fan's concept of integrative medicine fully aligns with this tradition. It makes us understand: in the East and the West, the ultimate goal of medicine is the same – respect for life, harmony with nature, pooling resources, and joint action."

Last year, with our active support, the Russian branch of the China Anti-Cancer Association was officially established. Through this platform, the advanced concepts of Chinese integrative oncology and the rich achievements of CACA guidelines will be further disseminated across Russia.

"I will continue to serve as a 'bridge' in medical exchanges between China and Russia. We will keep sharing with Russian medical colleagues the work of Academician Fan Daiming in integrative medicine, as well as China's advanced technologies and practical experience in cancer prevention and treatment, promoting the wide adoption of this concept across the Eurasian continent. On the other hand, I will closely follow the latest trends and cutting-edge achievements in international cancer prevention and treatment, promptly share them with China, enhance joint scientific research and development, assist in the construction of disciplinary development units within the China Anti-Cancer Association, and turn international exchange and mutual learning into a new driving force for the development of cancer control efforts."
